First record on the turntable is "Saturday Night", from Zimbabwe's very own Jackson Five: Phillip, Calib, Abby, Colin & Tawanda Rusike, collectively known as The Rusike Brothers. Saturday Night took Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries by a storm. With magnificant vocals and well polished instrumentation it is no suprise why. The mood is set and the vibe is live. A musical journey from start to finish ...... |
About DJVybeMusic is a true passion. I've been DJ'ing since 1985, when I was based in Harare, Zimbabwe. I grew up listening to the likes of Josh Makawa, John Matinde, Peter Johns, Tommy Dutch, Kenny Gamble, Caleb Thodlana, Hosea Singende - The Hitman, Tich Mataz .. to name just a few. As a result I have an ongoing love for the music of the 80's. While in Zimbabwe I ran a disco called, "Ultrafunk Disco", which allowed me to practice the craft of playing music. I feel honoured to have been able to learn how to play music before mixing. Mixing is an extension of playing music and not vice versa. This site is for my archives (past shows that I've had on www.tzradio.co.uk). I'm back on TZRadio so you can hear my latest shows every Friday. More info will be added as we go along, but meanwhile, please enjoy the music and feel free to comment. Vybe Fans of this Show
